Description: Quadriplegic Charlie Ekizian, president of Wheelchair Sports and Recreation Association, recommends sledge hockey for quadriplegics and paraplegics who want the thrills of ice hockey. The film shows the special equipment that allows people to play the game. Charlie Ekizian has had an amazing life. In 1968 he broke his neck in a diving accident and was told he'd be in a nursing home for the rest of his life. He used athletics to regain much of his abilities. He married, finished college, had a successful career and has spent the last forty years inspiring other mobility-impaired people to reach higher goals.
