Description: MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital created the Victory Awards® in 1986 to celebrate the victory of the human spirit and to honor individuals who best exemplify exceptional strength and courage in the face of physical adversity. This clip features 2011 Honoree Tim Strachan. Strachan suffered a severe spinal cord injury during a beach accident in August 1993. During his three months at MedStar NRH, Tim regained limited use of his arms and hands. Tim now works for the FCC as an attorney advisor and also as a University of Maryland football announcer.
