In 1994, Todd was injured in a motocross accident, he is now living with paralysis from the chest down. In an instant, his whole world changed forever. Today he is the CEO of his own company -- 180 Medical.
Michael-Ryan Pattison graduated from Woodinville High School in 2003 where he played all sports. He attended Washington State University and was active in basketball, skiing, bird hunting, weight lifting and about everything a 20-year old could do. On May 28th of 2005, Michael-Ryan broke his neck diving into Lake Chelan. This accident left him a quadriplegic with little movement below his shoulders. At the time of his accident he was heading into his junior year at Washington State University and was active in basketball, skiing, bird hunting, weight lifting and about everything a 20-year old could do.
Following his accident and injury, Michael-Ryan became keenly focused on helping others suffering from this paralysis. Realizing the overwhelming need surrounding this community, The Michael-Ryan Pattison Foundation was established in 2006 so others with spinal cord injuries can access the best possible care for their disability.
Since its humble beginnings, The Michael-Ryan Pattison Foundation has raised over $1.3 million. Michael-Ryan, along with his family and friends such as the Seattle Seahawks, has organized several increasingly successful fundraising events. The foundation has held Auctions, Golf Tournaments, and other events, which has allowed us to provide hope & healing to numerous members of the SCI community. Funds raised have been used to purchase specialized equipment as well as grants awarded to provide specialized exercise therapy & ongoing advancement for this paralysis.

Wheelchair motorcycle bikers use a wheelchair ramp in the back of a modified BMW trike called The Conquest. In order to ride from their wheelchairs, they shift gears with the use of hand controls. The "Gang of Three" was led by MobilityWorks Certified Mobility Consultant Todd Slates, video of the three riders was taken during the 2010 David Lytle Memorial Foundation Poker Run in Northern Ohio on August 21st.
