Bernie is a paraplegic (Complete T10). She has been in a wheelchair for 18 years. Jasper is 5 months old. Bernie has been able to pick him up like this since he was 2 months old. She uses the arm of the lounge chair as support when picking him up. Jasper knows the routine well and tenses up on the count of three to help Bernie lift him.

Jasper and his mum, Bernie, have just come home from the hospital. Bernie, who is in a wheelchair, gives Jasper his first bath at home. The bath is a fisher price bath that comes with a sling to hold a new born. The table that we use as the bath/change table is a $50 trestle table from Bunnings.

Jasper is now a year old. In this video Bernie shows how she takes Jasper to the toilet and then gives him a shower after dinner. Bernie uses the same shower chair she uses to sit Jasper on while she cleans him. They play and have a lot of fun at shower time. Bernie is a paraplegic with a complete severe at T10.

Picking up Jasper (10 months old)
Jasper's mum, Bernie, is a T10 paraplegic. In this video she shows how she picks up Jasper now that he is mobile. He is at the stage where he can commando crawl on his tummy, but can't crawl on his knees yet.

Jasper sails to Magnetic Island
As often as we can, we try to sail across to Magnetic Island. Jasper isn't phased by life on the boat, he does the normal things he does to pass the trip. He plays, he sleeps, and then plays some more.

wheelchair this was quite an accomplishment. In Zimbabwe she joined in
on an Elephant Safari through the national park.
